The Citizen Wong Project aims to resurrect, celebrate and embed Wong Chin Foo into the popular consciousness as the first Asian American civil rights leader.

Multiple platforms serve this purpose, including an Off-Broadway play, reenactments of Wong's speeches, a short film as a proof of concept for a feature film and TV series, a proposed documentary, and a graphic novel created in collaboration with San Francisco State University.

Wong Chin Foo is among the many forgotten trailblazers who deserve full recognition in mainstream American history.  Knowing that he lived and spoke up fearlessly for his community will empower and validate minorities, giving them a greater sense of belonging in the country that they call home.
